ORLANDO, FL — Aetna (NYSE:AET) announced that it has signed agreements with Osceola Regional Medical Center-HCA Affiliate and sister HCA hospital Central Florida Regional Hospital adding both hospitals to its Central Florida network. The contract took effect Oct. 1.
Under the agreement, members of Aetna’s commercial plans can receive covered services, at in-network rates, from Central Florida Regional Hospital, Osceola Regional Medical Center and their affiliated doctors.
“Aetna is very pleased to add these two hospitals to its network in the Orlando area,” said David Weisman, Aetna’s vice president of network development for Central Florida. “We work to give our members broad access to doctors and hospitals, and this contract expands that access.”
Aetna provides health benefits to more than 1 million members in Florida. Those members have access to a contracted network of 209 hospitals and more than 28,000 primary care and specialist physicians.
