Osceola Regional Medical Center Fourth in the Nation to Offer Birth Certificates at Hospital

Kissimmee, FL – Moms delivering babies at The Baby Suites at Osceola Regional Medical Center will not only have a beautiful private suite with all the amenities and perks they deserve for the most special moment of their lives, but will, in addition, be able to leave the hospital with their babies’ birth certificate in hand.  Normally, moms will have to visit the Osceola County Health Department to receive the birth certificate. Starting January 1, 2008, we are pleased to announce the Osceola County Health Department will open a Vital Statistics Office on the first floor of Osceola Regional Medical Center. “We are so happy Osceola Regional will take the lead in the county to offer a great service and become the fourth hospital in the nation to have a Vital Statistics Office in a hospital”, said Victoria Brack, Chief Deputy Registrar at Osceola County Vital Statistics.

Osceola Regional Medical Center will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on January 1st, 2008 at 3:00 pm. Invited guests will include Florida Surgeon General, Ana Viamonte Ros, MD, MPH, Osceola County Health Department representatives, Dagan Dalton, MD and Sheri Brammer among others.

Members of the media are welcome to attend. Osceola Regional will also celebrate the hospital’s New Year’s baby and mommy by donating a $100 US savings bond and the delivery of the first birth certificate.
