We’re proud of what we’ve built – a comprehensive cardiovascular program which serves the needs of patients throughout Central Florida. Ensuring patients’ access to superior comprehensive cardiovascular care is essential and a priority at Osceola Regional Medical Center.
With our successful second cycle accreditation as an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, we have continued to grow and expand our services into our neighbor communities of Polk and Orange counties. Our new Electrophysiology (EP) Studies Lab will open in the Fall of 2009 to provide patients access to the latest technological advances for the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm abnormalities.
The Heart & Vascular Institute’s multidisciplinary approach and expertise from our cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiovascular and vascular surgeons, ensures that every aspect of cardiovascular disease is addressed, from state of the art diagnostics and interventional cardiac catheterization to minimally invasive vascular surgery, open heart surgery, aortic aneurysm repair and stents. We have also assembled a team of highly skilled cardiovascular and vascular surgeons who are pioneers in their fields.
Pioneer in Valve Replacement
Cardiovascular Surgeon, Kristopher George, M.D., was a major part of Central Florida's first minimally invasive mitral valve surgery program.
Leader in Vascular Procedures
Endovascular surgeon Scott Hannum, D.O. leads the treatment of complex aortic and peripheral vascular and cardiac diseases at the Heart & Vascular Institute, implementing the most advanced endovascular stenting and hybrid procedures to treat complex peripheral vascular disease.
