Osceola Regional Expands Pediatric Services with New Pediatrix Partnership

KISSIMMEE, FL – Osceola Regional Medical Center is proud to announce a new partnership between Pediatrix Medical Group and the hospital.

Pediatrix Medical Group will bring a team of experienced hospital-based pediatric hospitalists to further enhance Osceola Regional’s exceptional pediatric program. The 11 pediatricians in this group are board certified and have more than 150 years of experience in pediatric and newborn medicine combined.

“We look forward to collaborating with the esteemed clinicians at Osceola Regional to provide outstanding pediatric inpatient and newborn services to the patients at Osceola Regional Medical Center,” said Dr. Dianna Brozyna, Medical Director of the Pediatric Hospitalists. “Together, our team will provide a family-centered and comprehensive approach to best serve the children and families of this community.”

In addition to its pediatric unit, Osceola Regional has the only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Level II (2) in Osceola County. The NICU is staffed by Pediatrix Medical Group neonatologists and has been since its opening. Osceola's newborn nursery physician care is provided by a tenured team of local pediatric and family practice physicians with the support of the neonatologists. In cases of emergency, Osceola Regional has dedicated pediatric emergency room services staffed with board certified pediatric ER physicians.

“We’re combining the best of both worlds,” said Robert Krieger, CEO at Osceola Regional Medical Center. “We’re adding resources from an industry-leading national medical group, and coupling it with the proven proficiency of our Medical Center’s trusted physicians. The collaborative effort will only elevate patient care and clinical outcomes for our pediatric patients.”

The hospitalists will be available 24 hours-a-day to serve patients. Pediatrix Medical Group also specializes in caring for hospitalized pediatric patients at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and newborns at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies.
